Ahsen Nehir Avcı was born in Izmir in 2006. She completed her primary and secondary education at Özel Rota Fen Lisesi. With her project titled “Investigation of the Antioxidant Effects of Stem Extracts and Tea of Cynara Scolymus (Artichoke) Plant and Its Effects on Wound Healing in Lung Cells”, she participated in the TÜBİTAK 53rd High School Students Research Projects Izmir Regional Competition in March 2022 and the Milli Eğitim Vakfı Özel Ankara College Prof Aziz Sancar Science Research Projects Competition in May 2022. With the same project, she won the “third-place award” at the 1st We-Cycle Environmental Recycling Fair Recycling Competition in May 2022. In 2024, she began her studies in the Aerospace Engineering program at Izmir University of Economics. Currently, she continues her engineering education as a first-year student while also working part-time in the Health Tourism Unit at Prof Yusuf Yıldırım’s private clinic. She speaks Turkish, English, German, and Italian. She pursued professional swimming for 12 years and professional archery for 3 years.
