Baran Yarkın Yıldırım was born in Izmir in 2001. He completed his primary and secondary education at Ege Private High School. In July 2017, he had been to London/England for three weeks as part of a summer school language educational program. In March 2018, he ranked "third in Aegean region" in the field of mathematics in the 49th High School Students Research Projects Competition of TUBITAK Scientist Training Program (Project name: A New Primacy Criterion, Izmir/Turkey). He won the "incentive award" at the Salih Zeki 9th Mathematics Research Projects Competition in May 2018 with the same project (Istanbul/Turkey). In 2019, he succeeded in the university entrance exam and started studying at Ege University Faculty of Medicine. He is currently continuing his education as a 5th year medical student and also works part-time in the Health Tourism Unit of Prof Dr Yusuf Yıldırım's private clinic. He speaks Turkish, English (YÖKDİL score: 93.2) and German. Basketball, chess, table tennis and computer games are among his special interests.
